Grayton Beach

“A funky little beach town full of free-spirited folks with a laid-back attitude. The narrow roads are shaded by southern magnolias, towering pines and moss-draped oaks. The salt air is ever present and so is the fine white sand covering the worn floors of our old beach cottages.”

What I love about Grayton Beach

Grayton Beach State Park

Grayton Beach State Park is one of the the most popular parks in Florida. The park is a 400-acre sliver of paradise featuring pristine sugar-sand beaches, a rare coastal dune lake and a wealth of nature. Its nature trail winds through a salt marsh, steep dunes and a coastal forest thick with twisted scrub oaks and magnolias.

Kayak, canoe or paddle board

Explore the backwaters of Western Lake, a 100-acre coastal dune lake surrounded by the natural areas of the state park.  Coastal Dune Lakes occur in only a few places around the world, so exploring this rare geological phenomenon is a treat.

Drive on the beach

Driving your vehicle on the beach is not allowed at most beaches along 30A. If you meet the requirements and obtain a permit, you can drive your vehicle at two accesses in Walton County: on Grayton Beach and Inlet Beach.
